Top Ten Tuesday: Wishlist for Santa's Convenience

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke & Bookish where bloggers list their top tens! This week, we talk about top ten books (I might have bend the rules a little here) we wouldn't mind Santa leaving under the tree this year! (Let's pretend I have a tree, alright?)

  • The Sleeper and The Spindle - Neil Gaiman
I probably would have gotten this a long time ago because it is a gorgeous book, except my local bookstores like to stick the price tag on the dust jacket and I WILL NOT HAVE THAT.
  • Endsinger (The Lotus War series #3) - Jay Kristoff
I have read the first two. I loved them. There is no reason not to have the third in my possession as well, when I already have Illuminae.
  • Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Illustrated Edition - J.K. Rowling, Jim Kay
I have seen too many pictures and I have a burning desire to own it, if only to confirm what my imagination knows. I have never needed any new editions of HP, until this damn version arrived.
  • She Is Not Invisible - Marcus Sedgwick
Sedgwick is one of my favourite authors that I only discovered in recent years, but have fell head over heels in love with his works. They are magnificent and almost always thought-provoking. (Though it seems that they can also be hit-or-miss for some people!)
  • A Darker Shade of Magic - Victoria Schwab
I know, I know. I’m working on getting it too, okay, cut me some slack here! I do own Vicious, but at this point I just want ALL the Schwab.

  • Legend series - Marie Lu
I think I’ve said I wanted to read about two years ago. Damn.
  • 盛夏光年 - 王纪尧 (Eternal Summer - Wang Ji Yao*)
I read a battered copy of Eternal Summer from the library and it hit me in the feels so hard because I wasn't expecting any of this. The cover is so misleading (at least the movie version cover). I might need to reread this to get the full understanding of it.
  • 末日备忘录 - 石头, 五月天 (Memoranda Beyond the Doomsday - Stone of Mayday)
Mayday is my favourite band and Stone is one of the most thoughtful writers among them that also publishes his thoughts. Must have!
  • 三生三世十里桃花 - 唐七公子** (Three Lives, Three Worlds, Ten Miles of Cherry Blossoms - Tang Qi Gong Zi)
The very beautifully cast movie is being shot with my beloved sheep in it, so I must read this before the movie is completed!
  • 盗墓笔记 - 南派三叔 ** (Grave Robbers' Chronicles - Kennedy Xu, aka Nan Pai San Shu)
Really, really want this series as a set, not only because the set looks like an urn, it also comes with character cards in an art style which I looooooooove.
I think my list is pretty balanced! ;D Basically, if Santa (or anyone, really) gets me any book by Neil Gaiman, Marcus Sedgwick, or Victoria Schwab that I do not own. I will be a very happy bookwyrm. I’m very easily content, really. :) Also, it's getting harder and harder to maintain a capsule bookshelf.

*Wang is the surname, Ji Yao is the given name.
**Pseudonym, above rule on names does not apply.
+ Chinese translations of pseudonym to be taken with a pinch of salt (because I'm NOT A PRO).
